I realize that I haven’t made an entry in (close to) forever. Why?
The answer None of the above. Which leads me to an “I’m sorry” for leaving you in the dark.
We are all well. Our Holidays were delightful. Thanksgiving in The Drakensberg Mountains was cool and relaxing. The food… well… let’s just say Parmesan cheese should never be served with pumpkin.
Christmas made up for it. We had Thanksgiving Christmas Eve and Christmas on Christmas Day. New Years will be complete with a Smithfield Ham sent from my parents.
Other goodies that found their way to our home are much appreciated. You have NO idea how appreciated.
I would like to note one thing. The food in South Africa is very good. We have access to a variety of meats, cheeses, dairy, fruits and vegetables. The preparation of the foods is very clear. But, they REALLY like their sauces. There is a special sauce for everything. And God Forbid if you order it without the sauce.
No, this entry is not an extenstion of the Julie & Julia movie. Just me trying to catch you up with our lives.
